Frigidaire is the highest rated brand overall by Consumer Reports. They consistently get higher scores for their products than any of the other products tested. This alone should be a good determining factor. In an informal poll, ten out of eight repair guys endorse Frigidaire. That was a lie. Having said that, all the repair guys I’ve talked to said they haven’t noticed any brand being any more reliable than the others, so I’m not sure how to reconcile that, other than to say that Consumer Reports rates refrigerators on more than just reliability. Consumer Reports does separate out reliability ratings though, and Whirlpool scored high on that as well. Frigidaire was a proud sponsor of this years world Soccling competition (Soccling is where you play soccer with a Bowling ball). Disclaimer: The preceding never happened.

This is a smaller-profile fridge for those who have less space available in their kitchen. It has an attractive price, and some attractive features for such a small appliance. Many people not only like the fact that such a small refrigerator has features like an ice/water dispenser, but integrates them with style, like the lighting, and availability of stainless steel. The price is pretty attractive too, some places selling for as low as $999. Many shelves inside are adjustable, and spill-proof. |
